EAGLE Final Conference @ First ISA Forum of Sociology, 5th - 8th September 2008, Barcelona, Spain

The EAGLE Final Conference will take place during the First ISA Forum of Sociology, which will take place from the 5th to 8th September 2008 in Barcelona, Spain.

The symposium 'An International Perspective and Comparison of National Intergenerational Programmes’ is organised in cooperation with the International Consortium for Intergenerational Programmes (ICIP), United Kingdom; Spanish Intergenerational Network (SIN), Spain; Healthy Ageing Research Unit at the Monash University, Australia and the Project Office ‘Dialogue of the Generations’, Germany.

The symposium will examine the growing evidence for the importance of intergenerational practice in addressing demographic change and developing communities and social structures that are age friendly. The symposium will explore the social policy drivers and responses that have lead to the foundation of national initiative in the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia and the United States and will frame the learning from these initiatives within the emerging findings of the EAGLE programme.

Join the EAGLE team in Barcelona for one last time and share your thoughts, research issues, findings to make intergenerational learning in Europe more visible!
